Cardiology Patient Care Associate

As part of our multi-specialty group, you will join a team of over 300 healthcare professionals, including physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, all committed to providing quality services across various medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned tasks, which may involve reviewing, monitoring, scheduling, and completing referrals while ensuring that ordering providers are notified through appropriate channels.
- Facilitate the scheduling of approximately 900 appointments monthly within the IDX Touchworks system for the Cardiology Department.
- Coordinate the scheduling process, manage At Risk and Expedite referrals, and collaborate with external contracted network providers.
- Verify and update patient demographics, including insurance details, in IDX as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with department providers, managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist colleagues and team members with various duties as needed, including providing support in other areas.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and established company policies.
- Respond to all incoming calls from the phone queue promptly.
- Gather and input demographic information for new patients.
- Update existing patient demographic information and collect insurance details.
