As part of our dynamic team at Southwest Medical, you will join a multi-disciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants, dedicated to providing exceptional care across southern Nevada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned tasks, which may involve reviewing, monitoring, scheduling, and completing referrals while ensuring that ordering providers are notified through appropriate channels.
- Facilitate the scheduling of approximately 900 appointments monthly within the IDX Touchworks system for the Cardiology Department.
- Coordinate scheduling processes, manage At Risk and Expedite referrals, and collaborate with external contracted network providers.
- Verify and update patient demographics, including insurance details, in IDX as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with department providers, managers, supervisors, and staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist colleagues and team members with various tasks as needed, including floating to different areas when required.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and established policies.
- Handle incoming phone calls from the patient queue efficiently.
- Gather demographic information for new patients and update existing patient records.
- Collect and verify insurance information for all patients.
