Property Leasing Supervisor

Position Summary:
The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the leasing team and executing tasks related to the leasing of the apartment community. This role is typically associated with a complex apartment community featuring multiple units and/or buildings, with a primary focus on maintaining high occupancy levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resident Engagement: Interact with potential residents to assess their housing requirements, conduct eligibility interviews based on established criteria, and showcase available units and community amenities. Manage follow-up communications and collect application-related funds.
- Lease Management: Prepare and maintain lease agreements and related documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable housing programs and regulations while keeping accurate records.
- Data Accuracy: Oversee the accuracy of leasing data entered into property management software. Review move-in files and weekly occupancy reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Office Presentation: Ensure that the leasing office and model apartments are well-maintained and presentable. Monitor competitor properties to enhance marketing and sales strategies.
- Move-In Coordination: Prepare apartments for new residents by conducting inspections and ensuring all necessary materials are ready at the time of lease signing.
- Training and Development: Train new leasing staff on company policies and procedures, providing ongoing coaching to enhance team performance.
- Performance Monitoring: Track leasing team performance metrics and occupancy rates, strategizing to meet budgeted goals.
- Resident Retention: Provide exceptional customer service to residents post-move-in, addressing work order requests and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Qualifications:
This position requires an Associate Degree in Property Management, with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies. Relevant experience includes:
- 1-2 Years: Supervisory experience - Required
- 3-4 Years: Sales or leasing experience - Required
