Property Leasing Supervisor

Position Summary: The Leasing Manager oversees the daily operations of the leasing team, driving activities related to the leasing of the apartment community. This leadership role is typically associated with a complex property featuring multiple units and buildings, focusing on maintaining high occupancy levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospective Resident Engagement: Meet with potential residents to assess their housing needs, conduct eligibility interviews, showcase available units and amenities, and provide accurate rental quotes. Follow up with leads and manage application funds.
- Lease Management: Prepare and maintain lease agreements and related documents, ensuring compliance with policies and housing regulations.
- Data Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of leasing data entered by staff, review move-in files, and ensure all occupancy reports are processed correctly.
- Property Presentation: Ensure that the leasing office and model apartments are well-maintained and presentable. Conduct competitor analysis to enhance marketing strategies.
- Move-In Coordination: Prepare apartments for new residents, ensuring all necessary materials are provided at lease signing.
- Training and Development: Train new leasing staff on company policies and operational procedures, fostering a knowledgeable team.
- Performance Monitoring: Track leasing team performance and occupancy rates, strategizing to meet budget goals.
- Resident Relations: Assist with resident retention efforts by providing ongoing customer service and addressing any concerns post-move-in.
Qualifications:
Education: An Associate Degree in Property Management is required, with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Studies preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of supervisory experience and 3-4 years of sales or leasing experience is required. Relevant experience may offset educational requirements.
