Position Overview

LGC Axolabs, a prominent entity within LGC, specializes in providing comprehensive CRO/CDMO services tailored for the therapeutic oligonucleotide discovery and development sector. Operating from LGC's facility, we collaborate closely with clients to facilitate the identification and advancement of lead candidates through a diverse array of bioinformatics, biological, chemical, manufacturing, and analytical services that underpin discovery, pre-clinical and clinical trials, as well as scale-up production.

The role of the QC Associate Scientist is pivotal, bringing scientific expertise to LGC while fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establishing instrument sequences and diligently monitoring analyses and data outputs.
  • Conducting troubleshooting and maintenance of instruments, ensuring timely reporting of results to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supervising routine analyses and method validations, while championing continuous enhancements through innovative analytical methodologies.
  • Upholding rigorous quality control processes and protocols to ascertain the accuracy and precision of analyses.
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of GMP regulations, specifically 21 CFR Part 210/211 and ICHQ7.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline, accompanied by a minimum of 2 years of hands-on analytical laboratory experience in a manufacturing context, or a Master of Science degree with over 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in organic and/or analytical chemistry, with proficiency in relevant analytical techniques such as HPLC, LC-MSMS, GC-MS, KF, and FT-IR.
  • Preferred experience in size exclusion, ion exchange, and reverse phase chromatography, as well as HRAMS techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of cGMP practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of analytical support in manufacturing settings.
