Position Summary:
The Quality Control Analyst I plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of Custom and GMP oligonucleotides by conducting thorough analyses using advanced analytical instruments such as HPLC, LC/MS, and Spectrophotometers. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to compare analytical results against established specifications and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute quality control protocols utilizing LC/MS, HPLC, and Spectrophotometry.
- Provide constructive feedback to quality, manufacturing, and development teams regarding:
- GMP-grade oligonucleotide production
- In-process oligonucleotide assessments
- Quality control operations
- Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine calibrations and system checks.
- Manage sample analysis and data collection for reporting purposes.
- Support laboratory upkeep, including cleaning and stocking of consumables.
- Adhere to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality management system requirements.
- Potential for overtime based on workload demands.
- Follow company policies regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related discipline is essential.
- Proficient in data interpretation and analysis.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
- Experience with analytical chemistry, particularly in LC/MS and HPLC, is preferred.
- Familiarity with software tools such as FileMakerPro, MassLynx, Empower, and Microsoft Office Suite.
