Job Overview

Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty who are passionate about teaching within our BSN Nursing program.

As a faculty member, you will mentor students in person at various clinical settings.

Clinical teaching typically involves one 8-12 hour shift during weekdays, weeknights, or weekends for an 8-week session.

No prior teaching experience is necessary; however, nurses with substantial clinical expertise and a completed MSN are encouraged to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

As a Clinical Nursing Faculty member, you will:

  • Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical instruction and service.
  • Oversee all aspects of individual teaching assignments.
  • Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
  • Be available to staff at clinical agencies.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students based on performance criteria.
  • Offer remediation to students as necessary.
  • Stay informed about agency/clinical policies and procedures.
  • Develop and assign clinical tasks aligned with students' knowledge and skill levels.
  • Timely assess and return assignments and evaluations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and assessment of programs.
  • Collaborate with college administration and faculty to enhance operational efficiency and student satisfaction.
  • Serve as a professional role model in areas such as customer service and collaboration.
  • Comply with all applicable regulatory standards.
  • Report to the dean or assistant dean and coordinate with course coordinators.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A master's (MSN) or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of practice.
  • BLS Certification.
  • A minimum of two years of professional nursing experience within the last five years in the relevant instructional area.

Additional Information

This position offers compensation ranging from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, contingent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.
