About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our team at Intercity Transit. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications and websites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drupal CMS Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in the areas of web development and data integration between disparate systems and functional areas to provide an integrated, standardized web-based application environment.
  • Web Development: Design, develop, deploy, and maintain websites that inform and engage external customers and internal staff, replace legacy software, and improve business processes.
  • Database Management: Work effectively with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data through databases, automatic programming interfaces (APIs), and other storage mechanisms.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the development, implementation, and support of custom Drupal themes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, YAML, and Twig.
  • Communication: Develop a positive relationship with key partners within the agency and thoroughly understand their business strategy and operational objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar area of study.
  • Experience: Four years of experience in website administration, software development, and databases; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Skills: Software/website development using the Drupal CMS, building, administering, and configuring websites using the Drupal CMS, deploying websites using Microsoft Azure Pantheon, Acquia, or similar cloud PaaS services, Microsoft Azure or similar Cloud platform, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) best practices, usability testing, and web accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.2.

  • Vacation Leave: Employees accrue 12 to 25 vacation days per year depending upon date of eligibility and length of service.
  • Sick Leave: Employees accrue 12 days of sick leave per year depending upon date of eligibility.
  • Floating Holiday Leave: Non-represented employees receive 48 hours of floating holiday hours each year depending upon date of hire.
