Accounting Specialist Job Description

Kanaan Communications, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting timely and accurate transaction posting and financial reporting for our company and affiliated entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record purchase orders for construction projects.
  • Enter revenue transactions into the billing system.
  • Enter and maintain attributes for construction projects in accounting applications.
  • Post cash receipts and work with field offices to resolve differences between cash receipts and invoices.
  • Prepare and review payroll timekeeping data for weekly payrolls.
  • Support monthly closing and weekly soft closings.
  • Complete special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Experience with monthly closes and payroll timekeeping data preferred.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
