Position Overview:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Optical Systems Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative infrared (IR) sensor technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- The selected engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and enhancement of cutting-edge infrared sensor products, while also providing support for established systems currently in production.
- This position involves leading technical initiatives for IR sensors aimed at both Tactical and Space-based applications.
- The engineer will engage in EO/IR modeling to aid in the conceptualization and validation of system designs.

Technical Leadership:
- As a technical lead, the engineer will formulate execution plans, oversee technical tasks, and assist in program management by tracking schedules, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Guidance and mentorship will be provided to other engineers and technicians to ensure compliance with program specifications.

Collaboration and Research:
- The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, sharing expertise across various engineering disciplines.
- Continuous research and review of technological advancements will be expected to maintain alignment with industry best practices.

Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related science field.
- A solid background in systems engineering and excellent communication skills.
- Proven experience in performance analysis of infrared camera systems and the ability to lead technical teams effectively.

Desired Skills:
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Familiarity with FPA manufacturing technologies and cryogenic systems is advantageous.

Clearance Requirements:
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain a secret security clearance.
