Job Description

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Director to join its team. As a key member of the Department of Medicine, this role will be responsible for overseeing the department's administrative and fiscal operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the administrative team, ensuring the effective management of departmental resources and operations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with University and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and oversee the department's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and optimal resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with faculty, department heads, and institutional leadership to ensure research initiatives are financially sustainable and compliant with regulations.
  • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring financial and administrative policies, ensuring uniformity in reporting and compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, with 7-10 years of experience in administrative leadership or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in administrative leadership, with experience in budget management, policy development, and team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
