Associate Director of Administration and Finance

Job Summary:

The University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Administration and Finance to oversee the non-clinical and support administrative and financial activities of the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care (PACC) in the Department of Medicine. This individual will be responsible for managing a $36M annual budget in grants, gifts, endowments, and other university funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the administration of research-related funds, gift and endowment funds, and other operating funds within PACC.
  • Provide high-level review of all PACC research funding on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and manage post-award activities, including account setup, monitoring, and review of all sponsored projects expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines and OMB Uniform Guidance.
  • Manage salary grids to ensure faculty and staff are paid correctly.
  • Review and pre-certify all effort reports of faculty and staff.
  • Provide administrative oversight of human resource functions, payroll, and procurement approvals.
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree preferred.
