Job Overview
Uncommon Schools is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Operations to join our team. As a key member of the High School Leadership Team, this individual will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring the successful implementation of school systems and routines, and overseeing several large aspects of High School operations and long-term projects.

Responsibilities
  • Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the school.
  • Serve as main point of contact for all operational needs in circumstances when the Director of Operations is not available.
  • Participate actively in the School Leadership Team.
  • Manage 1-2 operations staff members, at the Director of Operations' discretion, and oversee the successful implementation of their projects.
  • Manage High School-specific initiatives, for example the HS Advisory Dashboard, SWIPE, etc.
  • Implement coverage system on a daily basis.
  • Develop annually the High School academic schedule.
  • Owning facilities management to ensure facilities are safe, well-maintained, and meet needs of students and faculty.
  • Any additional responsibilities identified by the Director of Operations.

  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional attitude in the face of challenging demands and external pressures.
  • School-based or other educational experience preferred.
  • Experience managing others preferred.
  • Required experience:
    • 4 or more years of work experience.
    • Project planning experience, with proven ability to see large projects through to completion.
    • A Bachelor's degree.

Compensation for this position: Candidates who meet all job description requirements will likely receive an offer of $92,000. The starting pay will depend on various factors including but not limited to relevant professional experience, education, certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. To receive an offer greater than $92,000, candidates will need experience beyond the job description requirements, including time spent in a directly equivalent role.
