Position Overview

We are seeking a Financial Accounting Supervisor to support one of our prominent clients in the entertainment sector. This role is a hybrid position, requiring on-site presence a few days a week. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering financial accounting assistance and oversight during significant phases of the financial closing process.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves managing tight deadlines and a variety of accounting functions, including:

  • Preparation of general ledger entries
  • Financial reporting
  • Audit preparation
  • Support for budgeting and forecasting activities

The Financial Accounting Supervisor will oversee a team of Staff and Senior Accountants and will report directly to the Controller.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is between $45 - $48 per hour.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • Over 5 years of management experience in financial accounting and/or auditing
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing and developing teams
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
  • Familiarity with ERP and consolidation systems such as Oracle and SAP
  • Knowledge of accounting and budgeting systems
  • Experience with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in a large public company
