Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team at Poms & Associates. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll transactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies, maintaining the integrity of our payroll system.
- Calculate wages, deductions, and garnishments, as well as manage employee benefits and compensation.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration of payroll and benefits administration.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Two or more years of experience in a payroll accountant or similar role, with a proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and simply.
