Key Responsibilities:
The Customer Service Specialist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to visitors of the Sonnentag Center. Primarily stationed at the Box Office, this position is tasked with the sale of tickets for various events hosted at the Center. Responsibilities include:
- Providing point-of-sale services and managing ticket inventory for all events.
- Overseeing Will Call tickets and ensuring proper distribution.
- Engaging with patrons and guests, offering accurate information about events and services available at the Center.
- Communicating policies and procedures regarding access control and ticket sales to all patrons.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Conducting tours for patrons as necessary.
- Reconciling cash drawers and collaborating with full-time staff to ensure proper cash handling.
- Offering support in various business areas as needed.
- Participating in staff meetings and training sessions, and maintaining communication through emails and messaging platforms.
- Adhering to all established procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in customer service.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication skills, including active listening.
- Service-oriented mindset with the ability to address customer concerns effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency with a willingness to learn new software applications.
- Ability to enforce policies and procedures consistently.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work Environment:
- Office and event settings.
- Non-smoking environment.
- Moderate to loud noise levels.
- Flexible hours to accommodate events occurring on weekends and evenings.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to remain stationary for approximately 70% of the workday.
- Capability to walk and work during events.
- Ability to navigate throughout the Center.
- Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and stakeholders.
