About the Job

AWC is seeking a skilled Inside Account Manager to join our team. As an Inside Account Manager, you will have direct and daily contact with our customers and develop relationships to grow our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, develop, and retain customers necessary to drive a high-performance sales team, ensuring succession for accounts.
  • Acknowledge and process customer's Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO).
  • Establish and manage customer requirements, including quote follow-ups and pro-expedite purchase orders.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities, analyze account sales data, and promote sales.
  • Communicate with Outside Account Managers and Project Managers to establish profit, inventory suggestions, and pricing requirements for key accounts.
  • Review work processes to ensure that internal and external quality standards are followed and suggest improvements.
  • Examine ways to offer practical, creative alternatives that increase AWC's chances of successfully closing orders at higher margins.
About You
  • You must be a team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • You should have a sense of urgency, high energy, and high accountability.
  • You must be able to clearly communicate (verbal and written) via various channels.
  • You should be willing to be on call for after-hours and weekend support periodically.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A 4-year bachelor's degree or 2-year technical degree (preferably in an Engineering field).
  • 2-5 years of industry experience.
  • Base-level knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including but not limited to PLC's, IO's, Safety Devices, Enclosures, Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Sensors, Panelboards, etc.
  • A basic understanding of electricity, panel design/wiring, manufacturing/OEM experience.
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
