  • Prepare Operating Room: Set up and prepare the operating room for each procedure, including arranging equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain Sterile Environment: Ensure that the operating room remains sterile and free from contamination, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Monitor Patient Safety: Continuously monitor patient safety and well-being during procedures, reporting any concerns or issues to the surgical team.
  • Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program or equivalent military experience.
  • Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience as a surgical technologist, with a variety of surgical procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
