Role Summary


The Seasonal Audio-Visual Support Technician at Answers in Genesis plays a crucial role in delivering audio and visual technology services for the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. This position is integral to ensuring high-quality technical support for live events, exhibits, and various operational needs.

The technician will oversee the operation and upkeep of all audio-visual equipment across all facilities, contributing to an environment that fosters impactful experiences for visitors.

This role emphasizes a service-oriented approach, aiming to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.


Core Responsibilities

  • Exemplify Christian values in all interactions.
  • Uphold the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
  • Maintain personal integrity in all tasks and communications.
  • Assist in daily operations of the museum.
  • Provide support for exhibit audio-visuals, event audio, video, and lighting, as well as conference room AV.
  • Manage live audio and lighting programming and operations, along with basic troubleshooting of AV systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the AV Manager.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Must align with and be able to affirm our Statement of Faith.
  • Possess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regular participation in a local Bible-believing church is required.
  • Flexible availability is essential, including weekends and evenings for AV support.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders is necessary.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to seeing tasks through to completion.
  • A servant's heart is essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in live sound and lighting support.
  • Minimum of 2 years in facility AV support.
  • Experience in touring or concert audio and lighting is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ETC EOS Lighting Control is a plus.
  • Experience with ProPresenter and Yamaha audio consoles, as well as Shure wireless systems, is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Networking knowledge is an asset.
  • Formal training or a degree in a related AV field is preferred.
