Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a current Louisiana license to practice professional engineering and meet one of the following criteria:

1. Two years of licensed engineering experience.

2. Six years of professional engineering experience.

Substitutions:

A master's degree in engineering can substitute for one year of required experience, while a Ph.D. can substitute for two years.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of building systems or programs through subordinate engineers.

Directly supervise staff within the Operations and Engineering Department, ensuring compliance with departmental regulations and policies.

Formulate and manage programs for the maintenance and construction of Non-Flood Protection Assets.

Conduct field inspections, maintain accurate records, and prepare necessary reports related to engineering activities.

Engage with external agencies and stakeholders to foster collaboration and address project impacts.

Develop and monitor budgets for capital projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and oversee training for compliance.
