Job Overview

The Packaging Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth and building strong relationships with clients in the corrugated packaging sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored solutions that enhance their packaging operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the corrugated packaging market. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction. Address client inquiries, provide product information, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of the company's corrugated box products and services. Provide expert advice to clients on product selection, customization options, and packaging solutions.
  • Proposal and Negotiation: Prepare and present sales proposals, including pricing, product specifications, and delivery terms. Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favorable terms for both the company and the client.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards sales goals. Prepare regular reports and updates for management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the production and design teams to ensure that client requirements are met and that any special requests or customizations are handled efficiently.
  • Travel: Travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and visit potential or existing customers. Travel requirements may include occasional overnight stays and regional or national travel.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven track record of success in sales, preferably in the packaging or corrugated box industry. Experience in B2B sales is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with corrugated packaging products and their applications. Understanding of market trends and industry standards.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software (i.e., Hubspot)
  • Travel: Ability to travel as required, including occasional overnight stays and regional or national travel.
