The Opportunity

The HVAC Sales Project Engineer Co-Op program provides real-life experiences and exposure within the sales, estimating, and project management life cycle. This comprehensive, client-driven, and strategically integrated program offers exposure to each of our sales groups: air distribution, hydronics, applied, and owner sales.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
  • Optimize the project through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering, and redesigns.
  • Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Communicate with owners, architects, MEP Consultants, and General, Mechanical, and Electrical Contractors.
  • Organize project-related data for order entry.
  • Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests.
  • Read, understand, and interpret building plans & specifications.
  • Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers, and manufacturers.
  • Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet customer system design, installation, and maintenance expectations.
  • Investigate concerns, implement corrective action, and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

We are looking for Co-Ops with the right mix of talent, enthusiasm, leadership skills, and effective communication skills, able to work in a cross-functional team setting. The ideal candidate should have a Sophomore or Junior working towards an undergraduate degree in engineering, with basic knowledge or interest in HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management, or contracting environment.

  • Personal and Interpersonal Skills: ability to establish and grow relationships with customers through effective verbal and written communication, dedicated to customer needs, and able to solve problems and negotiate with a minimum of noise.
Environmental Requirements

The Co-Op will be required to work in an office environment and occasionally in the field, with physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to twenty-five pounds.
