Position: Area Sales Manager - Homebuilding

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team at FTS, Inc. As an Area Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and managing a team of sales professionals. Your responsibilities will include market analysis, strategy development, team recruitment and training, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research by visiting competitor communities and gathering intelligence on pricing, product specifications, and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to stay informed on market trends and opportunities.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies in alignment with company goals, in collaboration with the Director or VP of Sales.
  • Monitor and recruit high-potential sales talent by evaluating competitors' sales teams and maintaining a pool of potential candidates.
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of sales representatives and assistants to build a top-performing sales team.
  • Design and implement sales contests and recognition programs to motivate and reward the sales team.
  • Ensure clarity of job expectations and performance goals for all team members, and hold them accountable for achieving sales targets.
  • Oversee CRM processes and ensure effective use by the sales team.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to sales employees through formal and informal methods, including role-playing and discussions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new home sales.
  • At least 2 years of management experience, with a focus on sales coaching and training.
  • Active state Real Estate License strongly preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid Driver's License required. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
