Position Summary

As a Director at Huron, you will represent the pinnacle of professionalism and expertise. You will effectively collaborate with Huron and client senior leaders to design and implement complex and sustainable solutions, delivering remarkable results for our clients that often exceed engagement objectives.

Throughout your projects, you will develop enduring client relationships that benefit the firm in profound ways, including networking, ongoing business development, and sales opportunities. Your talents and leadership qualities will instill passion and trust in clients, junior staff members, and Huron management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct teams in the delivery of complex performance improvement engagements, creating collaborative, high-performing work environments while addressing issues, removing barriers, and ensuring successful client outcomes.
  • Manage engagement-wide economics, such as budgets, invoicing, and billing.
  • Analyze and quantify financial and operational benefits for performance improvement initiatives, identify risks to achieving projected outcomes, and develop solutions to address data gaps or risks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, creating customized solutions to achieve their business objectives and managing client expectations around benefits and deliverables.
  • Build strong relationships while leading a multi-faceted change process, demonstrating change management expertise and experience positively influencing change in complex environments.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams, providing feedback through performance management and coaching/mentoring.
  • Identify business development opportunities that align with Huron's capabilities and build a professional network to enhance and expand relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% and work extended hours as needed.
  • Strong leadership and management skills aligning to Huron's core values and competencies.
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written – and interpersonal skills to establish relationships of trust and collaboration.
  • Ability to train and participate in the professional development of Huron staff in project management and technical dimensions.
  • Direct supervisory experience of both individuals and teams.
  • 8-10 years of consulting and/or healthcare operations experience.
  • Preferred experience in a matrixed organization.
  • US Work Authorization required.

Preferred Experience

  • Relevant hospital revenue cycle experience directing a department and/or team-based projects with a focus on process re-engineering/performance improvement initiatives and change management.
  • Project leadership and workplan management experience within a consulting firm setting with a focus on hospital or physician revenue cycle, denials management, or patient access services.

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this job is $170,000 - $215,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $212,500 - $290,250.
