Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Coordinator to join our surgical department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, assembling and maintaining patient records, and performing various clerical tasks. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient flow within the department
  • Assemble and maintain patient records and charts
  • Perform various clerical tasks, including copying, filing, and ordering/stocking supplies
  • Assist RNs and physicians with patient activities as needed
  • Schedule surgery cases and maintain an up-to-date surgery schedule
  • Take call as determined by the department director
  • Serve as a resource to the department for quality/auditing purposes
  • Take daily attendance and report any absences to the Department Director

Requirements

  • Associate's degree
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire
  • PALS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire
  • RN licensure in the state of Kentucky
