Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments by interviewing patients about their current health status and medical history.
  • Evaluate patient and family needs, providing educational resources and instructional materials.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Manage medication refill requests from pharmacies, documenting necessary information in patient records.
  • Coordinate consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic procedures, referrals, and follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Triaging patient inquiries and documenting relevant details in patient charts.
  • Enhance communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in identifying available community resources.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) position will possess the following qualifications:

Level 2:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program, with a preference for a BSN.
  • Current RN state license and registration with the State Board of Nursing.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience.
Senior Level:
  • Five years of nursing experience, in addition to the Level 2 requirements.

Work Environment:
There may be potential exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions typical of an oncology/hematology clinic environment. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
