Job Summary: As a key member of the Paris Regional Health team, the Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide direct and indirect patient care in a fast-paced office/clinic setting. This role requires a high level of initiative and responsibility, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care that meets the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and/or physician, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, team members, and patients to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and nursing policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize clinical processes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Basic life support certification and knowledge of infection control practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Experience working in a clinical or office setting, with a focus on patient care and coordination.
