Job Title: Assistant Manager

At Lax 3MP Enterprise Inc, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supervising daily operations and sales functions to ensure maximum fleet utilization, incremental revenue, customer satisfaction, and employee management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the servicing of customers at rental counters, arranging for the rental of vehicles, selling incremental products, and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Plan, direct, and control the preparation of returned vehicles for the next rental and inspect vehicles on the ready line to ensure compliance with established quality assurance standards.
  • Ensure all missing vehicles are reported to Security on a timely basis by examining rentals, calling customers, and checking inventories at other area locations.
  • Maintain the rental facility and equipment, monitoring all conditions and occurrences in and around the facility during the shift to ensure employee and customer safety.
  • Organize the duties carried on at the counter and monitor employee performance, recommending corrective action where necessary.
  • Interact with maintenance to maximize use by controlling idle days, coordinating identification of OOS, PM, and other vehicles.
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance standards are maintained, monitoring work flow and responding to lapses in productivity by initiating corrective action.
  • Review work being performed in the area to ensure complete, timely, and consistent results, evaluating the performance of subordinates in formal reviews.
  • Schedule overtime hours, review time cards for accuracy, record lateness and absences, schedule vacations and personal days off, and prepare overtime reports.
  • Monitor rental agreements to ensure correct rates and expenses are being charged, controlling and authorizing the disbursement of petty cash funds.
  • Build and maintain business relationships to facilitate organizational profitability, including maintaining good relations with union representatives to ensure adherence to contracts and prevent grievances from going to arbitration.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2-4 years of college preferred (or equivalent in education, experience, or training).
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferably in a service-oriented field.
  • Effective supervisory, communication (both written and oral), and organizational skills.
  • Minimum of 1-year face-to-face customer service or face-to-face sales experience or 6 months of leadership (including organizations, athletics, military, etc.) and 6 months of face-to-face customer service or face-to-face sales experience.
  • Good decision-making skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with the public.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record (DUI/DWI) in the past 3 years.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must have an unrestricted valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents within the past 3 years and one violation must be falling off within the next 6 months.

Salary: Salary based on experience.
