Job Title: Associate Director, Alumni Networks

Join Boston University's Development and Alumni Relations team as an Associate Director, Alumni Networks. In this role, you will be responsible for managing BU alumni volunteers across our primary regional networks, fostering and strengthening ties between alumni and the University.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and lead alumni network volunteers to ensure the success of all assigned networks.
  • Develop, organize, manage, and direct regional alumni programming for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
  • Collaborate with school and college development officers, regional major gifts officers, and annual giving colleagues to identify, coordinate, and execute programming and outreach.
  • Manage and coordinate communications, including email, newsletters, website content, social media marketing, and BU Connects content for regional networks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in volunteer management and event planning.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Critical thinker with strong judgement in prioritizing problems and developing solutions.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Exemplary communications skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of persons at all levels of management.
  • People management skills and ability to work with a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated experience in database management and providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to travel and work occasional nights and weekends.
