The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for guiding and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and management of the C/A Design manufacturing facility and its surroundings. This pivotal role contributes significantly to the success and operational efficiency of our advanced aerospace and defense machining facility. The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is a respected position within the management team and will receive guidance and support from the Plant Manager. This proactive leader is expected to embody our values of integrity, transparency, and responsible corporate citizenship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Foster a culture of proactive safety within the organization.
  • Lead and support maintenance technicians and staff in all maintenance tasks, including complex projects.
  • Ensure the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment through a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
  • Facilitate the operation and testing of systems and machinery.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to schedule maintenance work while considering critical production timelines.
  • Assist the Plant Manager and lead Engineer in developing strategies that align with operational requirements, minimizing risks, and extending the lifespan of maintained assets.
  • Maintain documentation and coordinate external service and repairs for various high-precision machining and large-scale equipment.
  • Engage in operational expenditure and capital planning processes, including repair versus replacement assessments.
  • Conduct inspections of the facility and its assets to identify and address issues.
  • Manage internal requests for maintenance support; prioritize and assign tasks from the work order system.
  • Support compliance audits and quality assurance evaluations; review performance metrics and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental Health and Safety coordinator on safety initiatives; actively participate in safety team activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training or certifications in equipment maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
  • Over 10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with CNC machinery and machine shop operations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including hydraulic, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Awareness of industry best practices and suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Able to anticipate needs, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
