Job SummaryThe Maintenance Manager provides direction and leadership in support of the maintenance, repair, and oversight of the Costello April Design manufacturing facility and grounds. This role plays a key part in the overall success and performance of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a proactive safety culture.
- Direct and support maintenance technicians and staff in all maintenance activities, including complex assignments.
- Maintain the function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment through a preventive maintenance program.
- Facilitate the operation and testing of systems and equipment.
- Work with department leads to schedule maintenance-related work while considering critical production deadlines.
- Support the Plant Manager and lead Engineer in developing strategies and plans that align with operational needs, minimize risks, and maximize asset lifespan.
- Maintain records and coordinate service/repair via outside contractors for high-precision machining equipment and other large-scale equipment.
- Participate in opex and capital planning, and make repair vs. replace decisions.
- Conduct inspections of the facility and assets to identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate responses to internal inquiries for maintenance support, review, prioritize, and assign tickets from the work order system.
- Support compliance audits and quality assurance reviews, review performance reports, and implement corrective actions.
- Partner with the Environmental Health and Safety coordinator on safety-related topics and initiatives, and actively participate in the safety team.
- Associate degree or equivalent, technical training, or certifications relative to equipment maintenance/repair are highly desirable.
- 10+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of CNC, machine shop environment, and working experience in a similar environment are highly desirable.
- Strong working knowledge of building systems, Hydraulic, Plumbing, and Electrical.
- Knowledge of industry-leading practices and suggestions/solutions for continuous improvement.
- Strong computer knowledge with the ability to utilize MS Office.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact and partner with all levels of the organization.
- Leadership capabilities and a team player mentality.
- Ability to anticipate needs, multitask, manage shifting priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
