Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vocational Trainer to join our team at JCFS Chicago. As a Vocational Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting workers with disabilities in a government/commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise workers with disabilities performing janitorial work and provide guidance on specific tasks.
  • Observe and record performance, including attendance, punctuality, personal hygiene, and productivity.
  • Monitor quality and quantity of client productivity and maintain a professional atmosphere in the work environment.
  • Develop and implement individualized program plans to prepare workers for vocational development.
  • Provide worker evaluation documentation and participate in meetings to identify vocational and occupational obstacles.
  • Produce regular documentation and reports, including quality control inspections and client rehabilitation and productivity reports.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum 3-6 months related experience/training/education in the field.
  • Red Cross and CPR training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before consumers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
