Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tutoring Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students in a variety of subjects, including math, science, and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support.
  • Develop and implement study skills and strategies to help students achieve academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with staff and faculty as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff members to research and implement new tutoring programs and strategies.
  • Attend training sessions and webinars to stay up-to-date on best practices in tutoring and academic support.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a college degree and a GPA of 3.0 or higher in the targeted subject matter. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The work schedule will include tutoring sessions during the academic year at two separate campuses, as well as Saturday Academy sessions during the summer. The salary for this position is $15.00 per hour.
