Job Title: Lead Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The Lead Radiology Technologist will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the radiology team, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and imaging services. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology procedures, equipment, and technology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the radiology team, including training and mentoring new staff members.
  • Ensure the highest quality of patient care and imaging services, adhering to departmental and hospital-wide standards.
  • Operate and maintain radiology equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and X-ray units.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Radiography certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an R.T.
