Job Title: Lead Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The Lead Radiology Technologist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing a wide range of technical procedures, and supervising a team of radiology technologists. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans.
  • Supervise and train radiology technologists, ensuring they are competent in performing procedures and maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist with quality control and quality assurance activities, including reviewing images and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information, exam results, and quality control data.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current certification in radiography (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a radiology technologist, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to quality and safety, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
