Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
  • Uphold and advocate for residents' rights, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Participate in ongoing training and educational programs to meet state-mandated continuing education requirements.
  • Maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Safeguard residents' confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to the community's dress code to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Document resident care accurately and comprehensively.
  • Report any changes in residents' conditions to supervisors promptly.
  • Complete assigned tasks and adhere to established community policies and procedures.
  • Utilize equipment safely, ensuring that only trained personnel operate specific devices.
  • Implement infection control measures in all activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire safety and emergency protocols, reporting any safety violations.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
  • Certification as a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, fostering collaboration in an interdisciplinary care environment.
  • Capability to work in a senior care setting without posing health or safety risks to oneself or others.
  • Strong teamwork skills to promote a collaborative work environment.
