FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc. is seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs and general health information for patient charts and prepare patients for examination.
- Assist healthcare providers as needed with examinations and procedures.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform tests on patients as ordered by healthcare providers or arrange for patient testing, admissions, and referrals.
- Enter and record patient information in charts in a concise and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- LPN: Graduate of LPN program and current license. Clinic practice experience required.
- CMA: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program. Knowledge of practice management systems, office automation skills, and extensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. National medical assistant certification required.
- Clinic Technician: Current Paramedic certification and certification in BCLS, ITLS, or PHTLS, ACLS. Paramedic experience required.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time float position that will require floating to clinics in various locations.
