Position Overview

The organization operates an
IBM mainframe that supports a critical application for claims processing.

Due to a vacancy in the COBOL programming team, the organization is seeking a qualified candidate for a long-term contract position with a hybrid work arrangement.

The role involves enhancing the claims system to ensure efficient adjudication on the first attempt, minimizing the need for manual processing.

Regular updates and reviews are necessary as all medical claims processing applications are developed in COBOL, making them essential to operations.

The individual will focus solely on application development rather than systems administration. Familiarity with COBOL programming on a mainframe is essential, along with the ability to articulate the business aspects of a payer and the claims adjudication workflow.

Work Environment

This position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
