Position Overview

Our client operates an
IBM mainframe that supports a critical application for claims adjudication.

Due to a vacancy in the COBOL programming team, they are seeking an immediate replacement for a contract position that may lead to permanent employment.

The role involves enhancing the claims system to ensure efficient adjudication, minimizing the need for manual processing.

Regular assessments and updates are required for all medical claims adjudication applications, which are vital to operations.

The selected candidate will focus on application development rather than systems administration. A solid understanding of COBOL programming on a mainframe is essential, along with the ability to articulate the business aspects of a payer and the claims adjudication workflow.

Work Environment

This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, combining onsite and remote work. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM CST.
