Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Sales Manager to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) market, focusing on increasing new and existing business opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Participate in sales strategy discussions, set short-term and long-term goals, and align with growth targets.
  • Team Management: Proactively manage a regional sales team of Manufacturer's Representatives to meet volume growth, price quality, and customer satisfaction objectives.
  • Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain excellent external and internal customer relationships to drive sales growth and increase market share.
  • Performance Management: Continuously assess and improve the performance of Manufacturer's Representatives to ensure alignment with Hitachi Energy's business processes, standards, and core values.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with the competitive landscape in the region and identify opportunities to expand Hitachi Energy's presence.
  • Order Fulfillment: Conduct regular reviews and propose recovery plans to address potential order shortfalls.
  • Leadership and Integrity: Demonstrate leadership skills and embody Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration or technical field; advanced degree desirable, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Authorization: Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience, including working with Manufacturer's Representatives and demonstrating technical selling aptitude.
  • Account Management: Experience in managing sales accounts/regions with revenue exceeding $10M USD.
  • Preferred Experience: Performance management of Manufacturer's Representatives, understanding of Hitachi Energy's C&I segment products and services, and experience in C&I sales.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
