Job Title: HR Manager

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $105,000 - $120,000 annually

Type: Direct Hire

LHH is seeking a seasoned HR Manager with legal industry experience to join our team in DTLA. As the HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all HR functions within the firm, encompassing employee relations, recruitment, payroll management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Management: Oversee all HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Payroll Management: Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Familiarity with payroll systems is essential.
  • HRIS Administration: Utilize HRIS systems (preferably BambooHR) to maintain employee records, manage benefits, and streamline HR processes. Experience with ADP or other HRIS platforms is also acceptable.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. Prepare and maintain reports related to HR metrics and payroll.
  • Employee Support: Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including benefits, conflict resolution, and career development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HR experience within a boutique law firm or similar corporate services environment. Legal industry experience is mandatory.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Payroll Knowledge: Experience managing payroll or a strong understanding of payroll processes.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with BambooHR or similar HRIS platforms is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
