Purpose and Scope

The Human Resource Manager will lead Human Resource Functions at R.W. Zant LLC. and its Subsidiary (Commodity Sales, LLC/R-Dub Foods LLC) with support from the Director of Human Resources- Honor Foods. This role is responsible for partnering with functional leaders, front-line employees, and Supervisors to ensure the company's culture and performance align with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Handle confidential matters and perform support functions that require a broad and comprehensive knowledge of Company policy and procedures.
  • Talent Management: Manage the recruiting process, including advertisement placement, prescreening applicants and resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and entering applicants into an applicant tracking software.
  • HR Administration: Maintain electronic personnel files and related documentation, respond to requests for employment verification, and administer the employee handbook.
  • Safety and Compliance: Foster a collaborative environment where employees and Supervisors work together to educate staff on safety best practices, identify safety concerns, and consistently follow safety guidelines.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Prepare and process payroll, review and ensure accuracy of time records, track and deduct all wage orders, and other special payroll deductions.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate logistics for HR events, such as trainings, benefits, wellness events, and other various annual events.
Requirements
  • BA degree required.
  • Minimum seven 5-7 years Human Resources experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish, required.
  • Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate in written and oral English and Spanish correctly and effectively.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources.
  • Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company information.
  • Must be able to inspire, motivate, train, and coach others within the Human Resources function.
  • Ability to effectively promote Burris culture and think strategically.
  • Highly organized, proactive, goal-oriented, and approachable.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; comfortable with data and KPIs.
  • Proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, spreadsheets, including but not limited to Google suite.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and Payroll computer software and applications.
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Ability to Travel (minimal, less than 10%).
