Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Knowledge and Training Specialist to join our team at Design Within Reach. As a key member of our Retail Operations Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the development of Product Knowledge and Training projects and deliverables for our Herman Miller, Design within Reach, and HAY Retail brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage all retail training projects, aligning them with business goals and objectives.
  • Create and manage training materials, programs, and recommendations for instructional goals and objectives.
  • Formulate training outlines and determine instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness.
  • Adapt product knowledge content for training, group instruction, presentations, demonstrations, meetings, and workshops.
  • Develop and identify training tools, including existing internal content from all MillerKnoll brands.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments and perform administrative functions necessary to deliver successful training programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs and utilize relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
  • Analyze and assess training and development needs for individuals and groups within the Retail teams.
  • Responsible for training project management from inception to completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of Training and Retail product knowledge experience.
  • People-first perspective on training objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong content creation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage and lead Retail team trainings with presentation skills and command of product knowledge.
  • Ability to use tools for creating comprehensive training plans, curriculum, and learning aids.
  • Proactive, results-driven agile self-starter mindset.
