Position Overview: Mile Two is in search of a Vice President of Strategic Partnerships to formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the company's presence in the DOD government contracting sector and achieving revenue and experience objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to broaden Mile Two's footprint in the DOD government contracting arena.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including contract acquisitions and partnerships.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, prime contractors, and industry partners.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape to guide business strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of contracts and projects.
  • Prepare and deliver capability presentations for prospective clients.
  • Work with staff to ensure effective preparation and submission of Federal and non-Federal contract proposals.
  • Collaborate with Project Management staff in developing past performance narratives for proposal use.
  • Maintain knowledge of Federal government contracting laws, policies, and procedures relevant to business development.
  • Assist in developing the annual marketing budget for travel, conference attendance, and other business development-related expenses.
  • Oversee the overall customer experience, ensuring satisfaction during and after the sale through effective program and product delivery.
  • Identify, validate, and monitor customer funding budgets and procurement opportunities throughout the buying process to contract award.
  • Develop and implement a detailed account plan to meet sales objectives, including forecasting sales volume and profit.
  • Determine annual unit sale plans by implementing marketing strategies and analyzing trends.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and pricing by staying current with market dynamics.
  • Participate in trade shows and other relevant events.
  • Prepare and present reports on business development activities and progress, including tracking opportunities.
  • Represent Mile Two with integrity and professionalism.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field with a minimum of 16 years of experience in business development, particularly in DOD government contracting, or a Master's degree with 14 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated success in winning and managing government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the DOD acquisition process and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Active security clearance.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic planning abilities with a focus on opportunity identification.
  • Ability to engage teaming partners and key subcontractors.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to forge new relationships.
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel, averaging 25-35% travel time.
