The ideal candidate will become part of a dedicated team within the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Assistant Title IX & Non-Discrimination Compliance Officer is tasked with ensuring adherence to federal and state non-discrimination statutes, particularly those related to gender-based discrimination and sexual harassment, alongside compliance with the College's associated policies. This role also involves assisting in the evaluation, investigation, and resolution of equity and non-discrimination issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on federal and state civil rights regulations (e.g., Title IX, VAWA, Campus SaVE, Title VI, and non-discrimination).
  • Act as a representative of the Title IX Office in the absence of the Assistant Vice President / Title IX Coordinator.
  • Receive and address complaints regarding sex discrimination, sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, non-discrimination, and bias.
  • Coordinate and facilitate impartial processes (e.g., no-contact orders, investigations, hearings, informal resolutions); oversee external investigators.
  • Manage cases and utilize case management systems effectively.
  • Engage in the development and review of campus policies.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and workshops for campus stakeholders; evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Serve as a resource for individuals, groups, and administrative/academic units.
  • Act as a primary contact for Registered Student Organizations.
  • Participate in monitoring and disclosure processes; maintain accurate records.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
