Job Summary

The Intake and Counseling Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the intake program. This includes supervising clinical and administrative staff, ensuring the delivery of culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered, harm reduction patient services. The incumbent will also perform individual tasks related to the unit, such as individual counseling, de-escalation, care coordination, and other intake services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise clinical and administrative staff
  • Ensure the delivery of culturally responsive, trauma-informed, person-centered, harm reduction patient services
  • Perform individual tasks related to the unit, such as individual counseling, de-escalation, care coordination, and other intake services
  • Implement and evaluate program components
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to social work associates, health workers, and other staff disciplines
  • Provide training and information regarding intake and assessment services to community partners
  • Assist the Program Director in planning and program development
Requirements
  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Demonstrated skills to supervise support staff in clinic/center administration
  • In-depth knowledge of practice operations, patient-scheduling systems, medical and insurance terminology, applicable information systems, patient service standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of human resources management policies
  • Detail-oriented with analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills for effective information exchange and problem-solving
  • Strong skills in written and verbal communications
