About the Role

P1 Construction, LLC. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Construction Estimator to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. As a Mechanical Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing construction estimates for management purposes, including planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compute cost factors and prepare construction estimates for management purposes.
  • Visit job sites to evaluate progress, coordinate with project foremen, audit site safety, and review productivity.
  • Support project managers, estimators, and foremen as needed.
  • Promote the company's capabilities and expertise when interacting with key decision-makers.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
  • Maintain a collaborative working relationship with project managers and foremen by providing timely, accurate, and complete information.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction or Mechanical Engineering related discipline or on track to complete prior to starting work.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the mechanical construction industry.
  • Availability to work full-time.
  • Related work experience is not required, but applicants with internships are preferred.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a well-maintained vehicle.
