Estimating Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimating Analyst to join our team at Kiewit. As an Estimating Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our Project Controls/Estimating team to deliver analytical solutions to the business.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of estimating for engineering and construction projects and be able to leverage data to help solve unique business problems. You will work closely with the business to understand challenges in estimating diverse projects and develop analytical solutions to address those challenges.

• Standardize and compare engineering and construction project data in different market areas using information from P6 data, general client data, and location data.
• Deliver analytical solutions to the business, including correlating data between projects/markets, analyzing manpower curves, and developing a SharePoint site for benchmarking future projects.
• Apply knowledge of estimating, engineering, and construction functions and concepts to develop a framework for realistic planning and estimating.
• Perform data modeling, data mining, collection, manipulation, and analysis to make strategic recommendations to the business.
• Communicate and present data findings to leadership, including creating sustainable dashboard solutions and visualizing data to communicate insights.

• Minimum of 5+ years of work experience performing data analysis, data mining, statistical analysis, etc. in a professional setting, with a strong background in estimating and technical project data.
• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management, or related field.
• Previous data analysis experience in a construction or engineering company is required, with estimating experience highly desired.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines, goals, and objectives.
• Database querying using SQL for MS SQL Server (or Teradata) is required, as well as experience in data visualization using Power BI and statistical coding languages (Python, or R).
