Medical Laboratory Scientist III

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist III to join our team in an overnight position. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex analyses on various sample types, utilizing independent judgment to generate accurate test results.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform advanced laboratory tests and procedures with minimal supervision.
- Lead by example, mentoring and training junior staff members to ensure high-quality results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development of new laboratory services, equipment, and procedures.
- Provide regulatory and accreditation agency preparation support.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or related sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience (bachelor's degree) or 4 years (Associate in MLT or related field or Military Lab Technician Training program).
- ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
