As a Part-Time Book Retail Associate, you will engage with customers to provide exceptional service while promoting our diverse range of products. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by adhering to our core service principles: guiding customers to their desired titles, offering to place special orders, promoting membership programs, and ensuring efficient checkout processes.
  • Welcome customers warmly, fostering connections through engaging conversations about our products and services.
  • Utilize your product knowledge to ask insightful questions, identifying customer needs and recommending suitable solutions.
  • Share your expertise on digital products and services, creating personalized experiences for multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns effectively, ensuring a smooth transaction process.
  • Communicate product demands to management to maintain optimal stock levels of popular titles and customer requests.
  • Organize and display new inventory on the sales floor, following established merchandising standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain a tidy and inviting store environment by recovering the sales floor, organizing merchandise, and performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Assist in various store areas as needed, including receiving shipments, operating the cash register, and supporting café operations.
  • Safeguard company assets by adhering to inventory control and loss prevention protocols, including conducting regular stock counts.
  • Support the onboarding of new team members, helping them acclimate to our store culture and practices.
  • Act with integrity and uphold our core values, contributing to a positive bookselling environment.

Qualifications

As a Part-Time Book Retail Associate, you will leverage your sales skills and product knowledge to enhance the customer experience. You will build rapport with customers and collaborate effectively with your team. Key attributes include:
